Meet Ernie

Ernie Domanico, Founder

Ernie Domanico grew up in Niagara Falls, New York. In 1965, during his senior year of high school, Ernie’s uncle invited him to come visit him in Las Vegas. Ernie didn’t think twice about the offer and the temporary visit turned into a permanent relocation. Ernie Domanico finished up high school in Las Vegas and then graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Shortly after graduating from college, Ernie bought a vacant lot as a real estate investment. What was meant to be a quick flip, turned into a career changing experience. Instead of developing and selling the land, he built a custom home. He sold the house for a $3,000 profit and decided to continue building custom homes throughout the valley.

In 1979, Ernie Domanico became a licensed general contractor and established his own business in the home building industry. The business was incorporated under the name Domanico Construction, Inc. Ernie figured that having his name in front of his customers meant that he was willing to stake his reputation on his product. Domanico Construction specialized in the custom home market, building homes throughout the greater Las Vegas area and its finest neighborhoods including Spanish Trails, Spanish Hill, Red Rock, Southern Highlands, Seven Hills, and MacDonald Highlands. Ernie has built over 100 custom homes throughout Las Vegas and built a reputation for well-crafted homes and unparalleled customer service.

Meet Adam

Adam Knecht, General Manager
In 2003 Adam joined Ernie Domanico as a Partner in Domanico Custom Homes and Domanico Commercial. His financial background, corporate management experience, and hands-on construction experience made him an immediate asset to Domanico as they experienced continued growth as a leading builder in the Las Vegas area. On the partnership, Adam remarks, “Ernie’s reputation as a top builder wasn’t a secret. The decision to partner up was good for both of us at the time. We both bring different strengths and experiences to the table. Our company has greatly benefited and that equates to more value to our customers and employees.”

Adam is a licensed General Contractor and was recently recognized as the first Certified Green Builder (CGB) in the state of Nevada by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Adam is very actively involved in the NAHB and the Southern Nevada Home Builder’s Association. He is also a member of the U.S Green Building Council.
